This position is for Full-time and Part-Time Security Supervisors, and Lead Officers.

Up to and possibly over 40 Hours per Week
Regular/Non-exempt

Job Summary:

Provides armed guard services; physical security; detect, deter, and report unauthorized personnel from gaining access to the facility: protect property against vandalism, subversion and theft. Each officer must meet the following education, experience, medical, physical fitness, and security requirement:

Education/Experience:

The ability to fluently speak, comprehend, write, and read in English.
The ability to meet and deal with the general public.
The ability to read, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instruction, and training materials.
The ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
The ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports.
Any type of military service, as evidenced on DD form 214, may be credited toward meeting certain requirements, but military it is not required.
All security employees shall be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age. Age requirement waived for veterans of military service.
Three years security or military and/or police experience preferred.
Essential Job Functions: Daily job responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
Conduct vehicular and/or foot patrols.
Check secured areas.
Verify security of doors and locks.
Immediately notify a responsible party of unsecured property or access points while temporarily securing the area until proper security measures can be taken.
Monitor video surveillance equipment.
Document shift activities:
Patrol Logs
Entry and Exit Logs
Visitor’s logs
Delivery logs
Incident reports for abnormal conditions
Working Environment: Must be able to negotiate stairs and rough terrain on foot, drive, sit stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

As of June, 2010 the rates as following: Guards: $17.00, SGT: $17.25, Lieutenant: $18.25, and for Security Captain $28.85.
